Almaraz, a clothing project by Josefina Almaraz, seeks to explore raw materials and artisanal techniques from around the world in order to bring them to new design spaces.
Inspired by Almaraz's purist approach in design and execution, we aimed to translate the textures of the clothes and deconstruct the process of atelier garment-making in order to reveal the manual expertise of both designer and seamstress.
The logo, sophisticated and strong, evokes needle and thread work with line weight variations in every turn.
The label became an important sensory asset, providing a rich and layered collection of paper and fabric textures - tactile information being as relevant as the visual.
